SPRINGBOARD
an incubator for ideas and initiatives to develop a more vibrant and sustainable Spring Green
Springboard invites ideas, new and recycled for consideration, input, support and resources from the community. We are a collective of community members, business owners + employees, and existing community organizations devoting time, skills and resources to harness and deliver on the full potential of Spring Green. By leveraging and coordinating the collective, creative, artistic, cultural and natural assets, Springboard commits to projects designed to enhance our beloved town’s vibrancy and lay a groundwork for sustainability for our residents, workers, and business owners.
FRAMEWORK
Springboard is made up of engaged community members offering ideas and willing to commit any amount of time to the mission. We have projects big and small and want to develop a network of community members to offer what time and skills they have, from writing a grant to showing up to haul brush on a work day. We only ask members to commit to what their time and energy will allow, recognizing that these elements are constantly changing, so we welcome a member's participation to ebb and flow as life dictates.
Springboard is actually a collection of small groups, each created by momentum. Projects and ideas that have engaged the larger group's energy have initiated a small group (current list below). As new projects garner support, new groups will be formed. Small groups will stay in place for as long as they've got momentum. As energy fizzles out, a small group can be dissolved, always welcome to reemerge when momentum is regained.
A steering committee with representatives from each small group has formed to develop any necessary group structure and consider group effectiveness.
Springboard meets once a month, most often in our small groups to keep projects progressing. The steering committee meets once a quarter. Group "socials" will occasionally replace a monthly meeting to welcome new members and share ideas amongst the small groups.
Any member of our community is welcome at any of our meetings. We welcome you, your ideas and your positive spirit.
